March 2016 SIGCOMM Newsletter

March 2016 SIGCOMM Newsletter
Dear SIGCOMM Community Members,
Here is the news for this month:
-----------------------------------------------------------
1. ACM SIGCOMM 2016 is going to be relocated to Florianópolis (South of Brazil)
2. ACM open-access policy

---------------------------------------------------------------
1. ACM SIGCOMM 2016 is going to be relocated to Florianópolis (in the far south of Brazil) to minimize the risk of Zika virus infections. Updated travel information will be available soon at http://conferences.sigcomm.org/sigcomm/2016/ Note that Florianopolis is quite far away from Salvador: about as far away as Toronto is from Miami, so the weather will be quite cool and there are likely to be no mosquitos around.

2. All papers in SIGCOMM-sponsored conferences will be freely available via non-expiring links to the ACM Digital Library. Conference organisers will be able to create conference program pages will contain links to the DL that give access to the paper’s PDF without requiring a DL account. This has been true for the SIGCOMM conference in the past, and will be extended to all SIG-sponsored conferences with immediate effect.

That’s all for now!
