CALL FOR NOMINATIONS

EDITOR-IN-CHIEF
ACM Computer Communications Review

The term of the current editor-in-chief of ACM CCR (http://www.sigcomm.org/ccr/) is coming to an end, and the ACM SIGCOMM Executive Committee has set up a nominating committee to assist the Committee in selecting the next EIC.

Nominations, including self nominations, are invited for a two-year term as CCR EIC, beginning as soon as the position can be filled. The EIC appointment may be renewed once, after review. This is an entirely voluntary position, but ACM will provide appropriate administrative support.

The EIC is responsible for maintaining the highest editorial quality, for setting technical direction of the papers published in CCR, and for maintaining a reasonable pipeline of articles for publication. He/she has final say on acceptance of papers, size of the Editorial Board, and appointment of Associate Editors. The EIC is expected to adhere to the commitments expressed in the ACM Publishing Rights and Responsibilities Policy. For more information about the role of the EIC, see the ACM Journal Editor's Manual.

Nominations should include a c.v. of the nominee, as well as a brief statement of why the nominee should be considered. Self-nominations are encouraged. The deadline for submitting nominations is February 29th, 2008, but nominations will be accepted until the position is filled.
