SIGCOMM Elections call for candidates
The SIGCOMMM Nominating Committee seeks suggestions of candidates for the elected positions of Chair, Vice-Chair and Secretary/Treasurer. The task of the Nominating Committee is to produce a slate of at least two candidates per position. Suggestions should be sent to Ellen Zegura, Chair of the Nominating Committee, by January 1, 2009 at ewz@cc.gatech.edu.

Jon Crowcroft is the 2009 SIGCOMM Award winner
Jon Crowcroft, Marconi Professor of Communication Systems at Cambridge University, has been awarded the 2009 SIGCOMM Award for his pioneering contributions to multimedia and group communications, for his endless enthusiasm and energy, for all of the creative ideas he has so freely shared with so many in the networking community, and for always being outside the box.
Student scribes sought for WREN workshop
The Workshop: Research on Enterprise Networking (WREN), co-located with ACM SIGCOMM 2009 in Barcelona, Spain, seeks several students to volunteer as "scribes". Scribes would take notes about the discussions at the workshop, and then help in producing an edited report. For details, please contact Jeff Mogul (wren2009chair@hpl.hp.com) as soon as possible.

SIGMOBILE Seeks EIC for MC2R
Mobile Computing and Communications Review (MC2R) is a quarterly publication of ACM SIGMOBILE. The SIGMOBILE Executive Committee (EC) solicits candidates for the position of Editor-in-Chief for MC2R. The current MC2R EIC, Srikanth Krishnamurthy, will complete his 2-year term at the end of 2009, and we are expecting a new candidate to take on this role for a 2-year period in 2010 through 2011.
